FPGA-Based “Bunch Cleaning” System at the Advanced Light Source,
a paper authored by Engineering Division’s, Jonah Weber, Michael Chin,
Walter Barry, and AFRD’s Fernando Sannibale, was recognized as the 11th
most downloaded article at Elsevier’s
“Science Direct” publication. Elsevier is a leading provider of science
and health information. The article introduces a new bunch-cleaning
system for the ALS storage ring that will be compatible with a future
“top-off” user operation mode, allowing for a near constant stream of
current.
